Making A Difference Is What Matters Most

Annually, the Hoodie’s House of Hope for Youth organization engages with a great many programmatic mentoring, community based service projects, athletic events and educational or out of school time endeavors, which most times requires the need for committed volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering some of your very valuable time to aid and assist Hoodie’s House of Hope for Youth and most importantly those in need who reside within our community, we would greatly appreciate your willingness to serve. Volunteer needs:
  • Youth Group Mentors (Male & Females)
  • Prep Chefs (To assist with annual feeding events)
  • Hoop’s Classic (Scorebooks, Event Management, Clock Operators, Set-up/Breakdown, Locker Room Assistance, etc.)
  • Tutors
  • Reading Buddies
  • Barbers & Hair Stylists (To assist with annual homeless feeding events)

Community Holiday Celebration of Hope
Four Hoodie's House /Mint Hill P.A.L. youth were among the over 600 youth that attended the 3rd Annual National PAL Youth Summit in Washington DC and Potomac, Maryland July 24 - 27, 2019.  Attendees were Derrick Long, Executive Director, Hoodies House of Hope for Youth, Montana Graham, Zyquavion Ruff, Aaron Dais, and Ja'Quez Anthony.  Among the Summit's activities was a day in Washington DC where participants had the opportunity to meet with their elected officials and discuss issues they are concerned about or interested in.
